  2. Support the Cayuga Lake Defense Fund by contributing money for public education and legal efforts (see Legal Challenges to Lake Source Cooling), volunteering to help or joining the CLDF.

    email info@cldf.org
    Send tax-deductible contributions to:

Cayuga Lake Defense Fund (or CLDF)
    PO Box 294
    Ithaca, NY 14851

  3. Call or write your elected representatives. Here is a list of elected officials.

  4. Write a letter to the editor. Thousands of people have signed petitions opposing Cornell's Lake Source Cooling project. Petitioning is effective, but we would like to request that you write letters to the editors of all three local papers. Their addresses are listed below. Please write about the points which are most important to you, the points which you think have been most overlooked, or the points which you think are the most powerful. You do not have to write a lengthy letter. A few sentences will be read by more readers than a long letter. A short letter will keep the issue in front of the public and the decision-makers.

If you are stumped for a topic for your Letter To The Editor, we could suggest possible letter topics. If you need help with your letter, please call us or email info@cldf.org.
